Hansi Flick fast-tracking Barcelona summer signing's integration into team

Marcus Rashford’s arrival at Barcelona was never expected to be straightforward.

The Manchester United winger signed for Barça fully aware that breaking into the starting XI would be a challenge.

With Lamine Yamal and Raphinha seen as untouchable on the wings, Rashford accepted that his starting role would not come immediately. Still, he did not come to Camp Nou to simply be a substitute for the season.

According to SPORT, though, Hansi Flick is determined to accelerate Rashford’s adaptation and make him feel like a true protagonist in the squad.

Flick wants to speed up his adaptation

The manager has already shown that he is not tied to rigid plans. Just two matches into the new season, he gave Rashford his first start against Levante, a clear sign that he wants the English forward involved as soon as possible.

After spending his entire career in England, moving to Spain was always going to take Rashford out of his comfort zone.

Many expected it to be a slow process, but Flick has chosen to fast-track his integration.

The aim is not only to get him used to Barça’s style of play but also to ensure he builds chemistry with his new teammates both on and off the pitch.

Rashford’s role in Flick’s rotation plans

Flick’s decision makes sense when looking at the season ahead. With a packed schedule and the arrival of crucial double-legged weeks, Barcelona will rely heavily on rotations.

For the system to function smoothly, every player in the squad must be ready to step in and deliver. Rashford, for that matter, is seen as a vital part of this second unit.

Patience will still be key. Last season, Rashford struggled with several physical problems, and Flick knows that his appearances must be managed carefully.

So far, pre-season has been encouraging, as the forward has responded well to training loads and he is adjusting positively.

The manager’s trust in him is evident, and during the course of the season, Rashford could become much more than just a backup option.
